Like everything at the Tombolo Talasso Resort, the restaurant assures its Guests quality, variety and tradition. With its adjoining Wine Bar lounge and the large outdoor terrace overlooking the sea, the ground floor Restaurant is the ideal environment to discover and taste the art of the local cuisine combined with Mediterranean and International flavours .

The main ingredients are olive oil produced in Castagneto Carducci, meat from the local cattle farms, typical local game like wild boar, cheese of local production and of course fish from the nearby Gulf of Baratti. Low calorie recipes are available too, in agreement with the wellness philosophy of this Lifestyle Resort.

To go along with these naturalrecipes the restaurant of the Tombolo Talasso Resort offers its guests a wide selection of national and international wines of the highest quality.

Almost 300 labels among which, of course, the best Bolgheri wines.

The ancient art of massage is performed by expert hands combining traditional techniques with modern applications to achieve total physical and psychological rejuvenation. Massages like Shiatzu, Thai, Aromatherapy and Scen Tao exploit the calming and revitalizing properties of essential oils and lavic stones to improve circulation and tone the skin.

Our Wellness Center is a real "SPA - Salus Per Aquam ", meaning "health through water". Sea water is our extraordinary resource captured at 900 meters from the coast to guarantee it's pureness.It is heated at various temperatures and utilized to offer our clients specialized Thalasso treatments ranging from acuqa-fitness, water massages, hydro-massages with algae or salts, underwater hydro-massages, jet showers, horizontal sea rain showers and many more.

The Center integrates and completes the benefits obtained through thalassotherapy with an array of beauty treatments for both men and women selected with special attention to our Guest's individual needs and skillfully applied using a high quality range of beauty products derived from sea water, seaweed and sea water derivatives. Personalized SPA packages which combine Thalassotherapy and Beauty treatments are available on request to assure each Guest with the best individual approach to his/her requirements.

Fitness lovers will enjoy the modern exercise equipment of our Gym, the intense pleasure of the naturally lighted Finnish Sauna, the purifying steam and trickling water of the mosaic Roman Bath and Hammam, and finally rest sipping fruit juices in the Relaxation Room where colors, soft music and lighting reproduce the typical peacefulness of the Tuscan landscape.

Medical Check Up is not compulsory but recommended. If requested a non-specialist medical examination can be booked before arrival at the cost of € 40,00 to be paid directly at the SPA. In some cases, the SPA Manager can require a medical certificate of good health before authorizing any thalassotherapic treatments.

Thalassotherapy (from the Greek " thalassa ", sea) is an ancient and effective method of relaxation based on the use of all marine resources: sea water, climate, seaweed, sea mud and sand. Sea water contains a variety of minerals, salts and other oligoelements fundamental for the human organism to function and generate beneficial anti-stress, relaxing and revitalizing effects.

Ancient civilizations like those of the Egyptians, Greeks and the Romans where aware of the sea's healing properties long before the development of the modern hydrothermal science and techniques now available at the Tombolo Thalasso Resort. Sea water contains sodium chloride and is also rich in other minerals like iodine, iron, magnesium, copper, phosphorus, sulphur and potassium.

The similarity between the chemical composition of sea water and that of the human body makes these elements vital to our well-being. Given the right conditions of temperature and humidity, as in our thalasso center, the human skin becomes highly osmotic and permits the interaction between sea water and plasma letting these minerals pass through the skin and reach the blood cells.

This interaction has astimulative, regenerative and cleansing effect through the elimination of toxins and improvement ofmuscle tone. While sea water is the main active ingredient, coastal climate is also an important part of Thalassotherapy.

The waves diffuse marine minerals, salts and ions into the air, which combined with a correct exposure to the sun, improve the body's metabolism and respiratory processes. Seaweed used in thalassotherapic treatments have hydrating and re-mineralizing effects and are particularly useful in anti-cellulite treatments and facial masks. Lastly, sea mud, which is a concentration of marine flora and fauna residues, is used in thalassotherapic baths and wraps or heated and applied directly to the skin to sooth pain of the muscles or the articulations.
