Directly in front of the Collegiata Church of San Quirico D'Orcia stands "Casa Lemmi", inhabited for over a millennium and originally Norman, once the refuge of the Knights Templar, Imperial residence, a guest house, convent, fortified house, and for at least three hundred years, the home of the owner of a nearby estate in the Val D'Orcia.
In a separate wing, once used for agricultural purposes, there are now guest rooms.
The rooms open off a stairwell which rises towards a bright, sunny dome. The stairwell was originally Romanesque but has been altered many times over the course of time until it gained its present appearance in the nineteenth century. The exterior, like secret eyes, looks out at the noteworthy monuments of San Quirico and the Val D'Orcia.
There are two double rooms, a triple suite, and three other suites, all distinguished by their décor and furniture. In the nineteenth century these rooms were part of the family home. Today they are equipped with every modern comfort and convenience: telephone, minibar, safe, satellite television, internet connection, bathroom with shower or bath, hairdryer, and heating and air conditioning. The rooms are spacious and pleasant, permitting the guest to feel quite at home.
An abundant breakfast, served in the garden or in the Norman room, facing the west door of the Collegiata, is included.
Guests can park in the immediate vicinity of "Casa Lemmi". The appropriate parking permit will be forwarded by email.
