Apartments with beautiful finishing touches and a large swimming pool in the middle of a 3 hectars green area. In the garden the guests can barbecue and have their meal at the tables placed under the shade of an old wine tree.
In the nearness of the Osteria there are easy paths for relaxing walks and amusing trucks for mountain-bikes left at the disposal of our guests.
Situated along the "via Vandelli", the route leading from the Versilia to Modena, the "Osteria" was a stop for many travellers and merchants going to Castelnuovo Garfagnana. From that time on nothing has changed a great deal.The large courtyard for horses and livestock bought at the market of the time is nowadays used during the year for the drying process of our products. The restyling of the "Osteria del Piano" has brought back to life the ancient activity. We put a great care in the reconstruction of the traditional setting of the tuscan lifestyle. Stone, wood and bricks together with original fornitures restored by skillfull local artisans let the new guests enjoy the ancient and suggestive atmosphere of our land.The main growings of the Osteria are based on the tipical products of the Garfagnana such as raspberries, for the production of raspberry jam and syrups, spelt and herbs , like the "bardana", always following the methods of the biological agriculture and from centuries-old trees of a 3 hectars chestnuts forest, chestnuts fruits which every year at the beginning of December are ground into flour by the grindstones of a mill.
